I used to have a Yamaha generator. I believe the 1300. Worked great. And yes quiet as the Hondas. Anything that's an inverter/generator is much quieter especially with minimal load than the regular generators. You pay more but it's quiter, and the electric is much more stable. No surges or dips that you'd get with the old style generators. Much safer for anything with a compressor or an electronic board in it

I've never owned one but based on what I've read they are as reliable and quiet as the Hondas. My Briggs & Stratton has been reliable but it's loud.

Cool beans. Thanks fellas. I think I'll be ordering one real soon. As soon as most people have their lights back on. Wouldn't want the UPS guy to leave a genny on my stoop and have it walk away...lol.

I have the EF2000IS and love the Yamahas ..Quiter and lighter than the Honda ..Runs incredible and quiet as a church mouse ..Very high quality fit and finish ..
