Wyoming Open Carry experience

I was recently on a cross-Country trip to Montana and Idaho. On our return, we passed through Jackson, Wyoming. If you have never visited this small city, it would be a really nice experience to check it out.

I was carrying a handgun, exposed in a holster. In a shop while browsing, there was a woman, clearly from the Northeast (her accent sounded like Massachusetts), made a loud remark..."your not doing a very good job covering that up!" I asked what is the problem and she said you shouldn't be walking around with that gun exposed like that because people "have to look at it." I told her if she didn't like looking at it, then turn around and don't look at it. She wouldn't give up. She went on that her baby, who was in a baby carrier and maybe a month or two old, would see it. I told her then turn your baby around so she don't see it, I really don't care. This is Wyoming, this is the way it is and tough sh*t if you don't like it. Lobby the legislature.

Typical Northeast "no-guns, the children are dying" attitude.

On the way through the State, we were stopped by a State trooper for speeding. We showed our hands as he walked up and told him we have firearms in the car. He said..."this is Wyoming, everybody has a gun. License, registration and insurance card please?" I love that State! I know just where I'm going in retirement.

Nice story, Apparently the mom wasn't afraid to challenge you on open carry. I was eating at a diner opening day upstate. A fellow was carrying his 9mm S&W in a open top holster. Not very smart, N.Y. is concealed carry.

Gotta love free america.  I was in Jacksonhole with my brother on a cross country trip.  We walked into this western store to look around.  The shop keeper said hello and during our conversation it came up that my brother and I were from New York.  From that moment on the lady followed us around the store like a drug sniffing dog as if we were going to steal the entire store.  It was pretty funny, sad but funny.

Jackson is nice, but expensive. Even one night at Motel 6 can cost $100. Place like that attracts liberal blue bloods like the lady you encountered.
I doubt you would have had an experience like that in Cheyenne or the rest of the state for that matter.

America is to be capitalized... don't be disrespectful to our country.

No disrespect intended. Did not proof read before submitting. Of course America.

I was in Laredo a few years ago, and folks were still riding horses through the town. (And no pooper scooper laws for those horses). I heard someone ask his buddy why he was wearing his "Sunday" holster on a weekday.

It's a whole different world outside the sinkhole. They brainwash people into thinking its the way it is, when in fact most of America is the complete opposite.
