This whole things stinks like yesterdays cabbage.

"Berry says, "They had recently purchased the handgun and he had apparently fallen asleep with it or something like that. There was some discussion as to the safety of the handgun…during the course of that discussion or whatever the gun discharged and she was struck." "

Yeah. like they were taking a class or something. Oh please.

Another case of unsafe gun handling that caused a tragedy!

I fixed it. We all know guns don't discharge on their own.

The story sounds stupid because it is stupid and incorrectly reported. I know this guy. This guy was not talking about gun safety. He had threatened to kill her many times, by shooting her in the head, exactly like he killed her. He beat her 8 month old child. He is a violent indiviual. He has a history of violence. This was first degree murder no doubt. Definetly not an accident. He should be put to death. One less loser off the streets. She knew he was violent and said she didn't care-she would not leave him. As for the rule of gun safety-violence comes from the person holding the gun. It's violent lunatics like this that have convinced me to exercise my right to own and carry a gun to protect myself. This guy got this gun illegally because he could not pass the background check and purchase the firearm legally. But yet he still got one. Go figure.

Why should we believe someone who has already changed his story that she was "shot while discussing gun safety"? It's like the writer just threw that in there for a touch of anti-gun irony that people can latch onto so they can say "see, even when people are talking about gun safety still get shot!".

That's why I keep mine muzzled and leashed. I will occasionally punish mine until they spit lead.
