Where could one go to get a new scope bore sighted if one was alergic to the crowds and cold you find at the outdoor places during the winter? Any of the local shops do it and if so how much is usually charged?
You can always bore sight the rifle yourself, or I am sure there are many members here that would help you bore sight in the rifle as well. What caliber?
It is going to be .223 (Mini-14) but maybe your right... maybe it would be time to get the items myself and learn how to do it. If I stay on track this is def. not going to be my last new scope or rifle
-Most Ranges will do it for a fee.
-Members with laser boresights can help you, then dial it in @ the range.
-Some shops like Hunter Sports will do it.
-Wouldn't try it @ Dicks. Those kids won't do it right.
-You can invest in a laser boresight (i have a universal Sightmark kit) and bore sight most calibers at home if you got 25 ft.

OK cool thanks for the info, the rifle and scope are both coming as xmas presents so I don't have them yet but atleast now I know where to turn. Thanks!!
Use the boree sight in the longest distances in your home and align the scope with your laser mark. You will have to dial it in at the range as well. I always use a mirror to double my longest distance in the house. Works well but will always need further adjustments at the range. This will only get you in the general area at distances depending on how far you originally bore sight it for. Also should use a bench rest/rifle vice for the firearm to keep it in the same place. These take aw while to set up at the range but if you are huning this is the way to go. These will allow you to get the rifle hitting a nice group every time. I also use a spooting scope during the range process. Together all 3 items are perfect for sighting in a new firearm. I wish you luck
