Was racing up at Limerock this weekend. Lots of fun and car came home in one piece.

Had a strange format for the weekend where Friday afternoon was a second qualifying based on time, but in a race format. Happy with my time from the AM, I went out on very old tires.

As I barreled into turn one as fast as a little miata can barrel into anything, it became readily apparent that old tires were a horrible idea.

Enjoy the resulting spin. Luckily my time from the morning held.

At least you didn't damage your car or anyone else's...

How often do you race?

Glad you and the car came back in one piece!
I took a Skip Barber class there years ago, what a blast that was. Still go to LRP at least once or twice a year as a spectator. Just a great place to spend a Saturday.

Probably about once a month.

Yah, once I felt it snap loose and knew my trajectory was set to go off track rather than back across, I locked it up and let it go there. Wasn't going to try and do a full spin with traffic coming.
