Meanwhile, down in North Carolina.....

One person is dead after an apparent attempted robbery at an Upstate restaurant. It happened shortly after 1:00 Saturday morning at the Waffle House on Chesnee Highway in Spartanburg County. Deputies say that two men entered and tried to rob the business. A customer then used their concealed weapon to shoot and kill one of the suspects. No customers or employees were injured. The second suspect remains on the loose.
