thinking about swapping out optics

This is on my rem 700P. I currently have a ziess 3.5-10mc with the bdc rectile. i really don't like the scope. glass is very clear. but i hate the rear focus, i also don't like the fact that it is only 10x and after 10 shots I some times find my self refocusing it. I would like to sell mine and maybe get something nicer.

something with--
30mm main tube,
more magnification,
target turrets,
maybe even illuminated

what are your guys suggestions.

Its odd that an optic like the Zeiss would lose focus after so few shots...actually its odd that it would lose focus at all!
I would send it back to the factory for service. If you don't mind spending the money, look at Leupold scopes. I can't recommend one because I'm too cheap to spend the money! ;) I have a couple of Busnells, on a .30-30, and semi auto Remington .30-06 and they are holding up fine.
1) Fix it.

2) Nicer means something like a Nightforce. With quality rings and base, your 700p cost becomes a rounding error.
don't get me wrong it holds zero, 140 rounds yesterday she was good all day. I just can't stand the rectile. or the rear focus. (cause i can't put flip caps on it)

I have a EGW 0moa base and burris extreme tactical rings.

If you hate it that much, just give me the Zeiss, and I'll give you the standard LIF offer of 19 rounds of .308 and a bottle of hot sauce!
Is this a US or German made Zeiss?

For a 700P I would get a Mark 4 leupy, either a 3.5-10x40 or 4.5-14x50

The M3 cams are nice if you shoot long range and don't mind the coarse 1 moa adjustments. The M1 cams are 1/4 moa and good if you like precise refinement- problem is you can get lost if you are shooting past 1full rev of elevation. The M3 is equipped with a factory zero stop and is plain easier to use

I never caught on to the nightforce bandwagon, but guys like them. If you are bored go over to the snipers hide equipment exchange, you can pick up nice scopes for a deep discount. What will make you laugh is most of te nightforce guys leave their inspection stickers on the tubes. I haven't looked at that exchange in almost a year, I can guarantee more then half the nighforces listed still have them.

fYi the autospell on my iPhone sucks

Doesn't that rear focus simply focus the reticle? That is a one shot deal nook at the sky or a white wall through the scope. Open your eyes and see if the reticle is in focus. If not adjust. Put a flip up scope on there and it will stay put
