Little kids are born with their brains in their butts. Its our job to beat them into their heads.
What else do you expect out of judge in Texas who presided in over 50 cases involving suitability of a parent last year?
Guys a real badass. :-/

They just said he was suspended and seen fleeing his house with luggage and his guns.
I lost count of the number of times he said the "f" word.

I cant justify that over use of force at all but hitting your kids is not a big deal.. I myself was hit as a kid spanked, wooden spoons but it taught me alright from wrong and I am glad it happen to Me I am not condoning over use of force but these days parents and people are scared and are so against hitting kid. It works but not over force, I was raised by my mother an Italian immigrant and my dad Italian American from Brooklyn so when I was out of line I got it and am happy that made me who I am and built character. In no way am I endorsing the use
Of force this judge had at all but I do believe
In spankings but not abuse.
My Dad beat the crap out of me when I was a kid and mostly I deserved it. Wore his hand-print on the side of my face for nearly a couple of weeks once for wrecking by bicycle. However, I do believe in corporal punishment.

I saw this on CNN last night. They said the girl has cerebal palsey. I can't agree with this clown.

Agreed
when my kids stepped out of line they got a spanking or I made them stand in the corner when I did that they asked for the spanking so I use the corner mostly 15 minuets was a life time back then
papabear
Its important to know that he is a child abuse judge.

Spank a child yes, no problem... wooden spoon OK, it's more noise and sting than anything else, but won't do any damage.... Picking up any WEAPON though is just beating/abuse out of anger - NOT "discipline"

the Smartest parents I've seen would NOT whack the child immediately, they KNEW they needed to calm down themselves first - "You go to your room, you'll get yer whippin' later..." and sometime before bed it was "OK, now it's time for your spanking" That suspense and dread was more impact on the children than the spanking I think.
When does spanking and yelling cross the line to become abuse?
If a parent lays a hand on a child, can that be considered child abuse and domestic violence?
How does the law read on these issues?

When the parent is beating a disabled child in a fit of rage, it is abuse. I don't know where the line is exactly, but I know which side of it this was on.
Imagine what a bad ass the judge must have been for his kid to set this up. Think she got the idea from the Sixth Sense?
I could see one wack and that is it but it gets to a point were it is excessive as he keeps hitting his daughter.
Im usually for disciplining your children... but this guy took it a bit too far. There is a limit. It's a fine line between understanding where that limit is.

I do find the YouTube comments funny. I can hear all the people now... Ah back when I was young in 1954 they used to beat me with 2x4's, it built character!
No charges filed, statute of limitations 5 yrs, video was 7 yrs ago.  Texas judicial system looking into ethical violations. Lets hope they jail the S.O.B.
One wack on the ass ok..  maybe 2 if " crime" is severe  enough. I had a few heres and theres as a kid, and the waiting period deff made it worse off. Not knowing when it was comming was the worst.  A disabled child?!?  NONE necessary.  Maybe because  I have a brother and sister with autism i sympathize more, but. espec. when shes disabled, he should be put in jail for that IMO.
