packed up the family for a day at the beach and drove out only to find out the outer beach has been closed. The guy said due to the weather, but didn't know if it was due to erosion.. which I thought was a little odd.

If you're heading out.. call before you go. Anyone know how the other beaches fared the storm?

I stopped buying the outer beach permit for that reason. They close the beach every time there is alittle weather and thats when I want to put in time fishing. I wish they would just leave burma rd open so there would be a little bit of access and the ability to get to the inlet.
Went to RM yesterday, open to the point and looking good.

Smithspoint has really gotten bad over the last few years.. They close it way too much.. If smith side is closed, now usually fins is open if u wanted to do beach fishing.. Opps sorry you guys posted this a month ago..
