JUST IN:
Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos has stepped down from his leadership post.
His replacement is expected to be Sen. John Flanagan, of Northport.

State Sen. John Flanagan will be the new leader of the chamber's 33-member Republican conference, succeeding his fellow Long Islander Dean Skelos exactly a week after his arrest alongside his son to face a federal corruption complaint.

DeFrancisco also told reporters he had the votes to win the leadership as long as his commitments held true, however that didnt happen.

Doesn't Flannagan have a scandal already being investigated?

Flanagan is as much of a snake as Andy. Another anti. Marchione's bill about repeal will never see the light of day with Flanagan around. A RINO and a big disappointment.

A republican on LI is more liberal than a democrat in Texas. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Business as usual.
So sad, so true...and if you want to know who supported Flanagan, he prefers to wear a reddish-orange shade of lipstick on his down time, so just check the zipper areas on the rest of the RINO's pants and that's your tell tale sign. I have a feeling Marcellino's looks like a California sunset along with the 15 other traders. Poor Flanagan probably has TMJ now.

Says it was a "closed door vote'
Does that mean we won't know who voted for him?
