I'm having a bunch of fun shooting my SW990L. But I'd like my wife to get interested in it. With the small grips, it's just her size.

But....the slide is really stiff. Not sure she can manage it as easily as she can some of my other pistols.

Is there any way to reduce the amount of strength it takes to rack the slide back without effecting the gun's performance.

Also, is there a way to smooth out the trigger...take some of the grit out and perhaps lighten it a pound or two (its at 7 1/2 now) to make it a bit easier for her to shoot well?

Much appreciate any suggestions.
