I had a Midwest Industries quad rail on my Saiga 7.62 with a Kalishnakov sniper stock which rendered it an assault weapon. So inspired by Destro's build I ordered replacement furniture from Saigastock.com. I am changing it out to a Zombie Hunter edition. I got the stock mounted and when I removed the quad rail I realized it wasn't using the original forend screw. I ran to my trusty box of miscellaneous parts and pieces and I could not find the original. I searched in Home Depot and Ace Hardware and can't seem to find a screw that fits. Any ideas or anyone have an extra?
Saigastock.com sells them but its $8 for the screw and $9 for shipping so a local solution would be better.
Its and I'm guessing a metric screw, Ace has metric screws try again, also try SAE screws maybe one will fit, or drill out the hole and replace it with a SAE screw.
some checking online, it looks like this should just be a 5mm .8 pitch thread that you need. Any good hardware store should have this for 10 cents or so.
