That'a right, I got my Florida CCW issued in exactly 30 days. And that was with a application delay where they indicated I forgot to check that I was a US citizen. Had to submit a 2nd notorized application. I took the NRA basic at Mitchell Field on 12/17/11, sent the florida application out w prints on 12/23 and recieved Florida license issued 1/23/12 in todays mail!!! Cost was $117 for 7 years.....Nassau County lisence took over 8 months and cost nearly $300.  You tell me!!!

Waiting for mine. I sent it out right around the same time. Hoping I am pleasantly surprised with todays mail.
Congratulations.

Congrats on the Fla CCW.  Mine took about 6 weeks.  Looks like they're getting faster.

What do you need to get a PA License ? If you have a family member that lives there, and you also spend time there - would you be able to apply ? I'm assuming you then have to keep the firearm only in PA and not allowed to bring it into NY if so. Same for a FL license ?

Happy the hear you got yours so quick ! FL has some unbelievable gun shows. I was there last year and it was absurd. Have fun !

I'm pretty sure you have to physically go to PA now to get the license. That's the benifet to Florida/ Utah. All done by mail. PA has reciprocity with a bunch of states.

Any gun would have to be on your NYS license in order for you to bring it into NY.
It has nothing to do with the license, it's the laws of the state your in/traveling through that matter.
In order to posses a pistol in NYS you need the NYS license.

Congrats on the license! Florida really has it right! Good luck, be safe!
