Reasonable scope for M&W M&P 15-22 rifle

I recently picked up with Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 and want to put a small scope on it. Nothing crazy, just something for say 25 or 50yd shooting at the range. I don't want to get a cheapo $50 scope that wont be very accurate, but I also don't want to spend as much as I did on the rifle itself for a scope. Thinking around $150 range for something decent and accurate. Any suggestions?

Check out www.shopbarska.com

A red dot would fit the bill nicely, and its tacticool! There is little recoil, so a $50-$75 red dot would do fine.
I have a true glow tactical red/green dot I am putting on my sig 522 thats real cool
are you looking for a scope or reflex sight? i have a truglo open red/green dot reflex that was around $75 from opticsplanet.org that holds up real well on my shotgun. put about 150 rounds through it with it still holding zero. it has four reticles you can choose from and is easy to zero.

opticsplanet.com is where i look for my optics. lot of reviews from people, they ship quick, and prices are good. just my .02

I've had good luck with BSA red dot scopes.
Same here. Also hace a cheapo Tasco that works fine. BSA is on a Ruger SR-22 and Tasco is on a AR 9mm
Looks like a nice choice. Did you order rings to mount it also?
waiting for the scope to arrive first... when I emailed Barska they said it came with the rings but it doesn't specify on opticsplanet. If they dont come with it no big deal I need to order some other stuff anyway, just put it in with the next order :) I wont get a chance to get to the range until June anyway (Wedding coming up fast and I will be away for a few days)
I have a cabelas scope a Pineridge 22 tactical turret scope when I got mine it was on sale for $69. It now $99 it one of the nicest cheap scope I've ever had. I have on a river 10/22 and I can cover the groups with a quarter at 50 yardsand sub 2 inches at 100 yards.
For a .22. I would go with the much-maligned Simmons ProHunter. Because, it WILL hold zero on a .22, the problem is that it won't on a .30. Which makes it a bad scope for centerfire rifles, but the optics are decent, they don't fog, and at $69 if you shop, it's hard to beat.
Arrived last night, and is ready to be mounted :)

good choice. I just got one at the begining of the month. Sighted it in last weds. Shoots nice, The alignment is perfect between the rings they gave you and the lare eye relief,

enjoy
Just realized yesterday when I went to put the scope on that it is blocked by the factory sights, guess im going to have to pull those off or find some way of raising this scope a bit higher (which i think would be uncomfortable to use). Any suggestions?

Can you take a picture of the rifle and scope sitting next to it? I/we have plenty of suggestions but I'd like to see what we are working with.
