Pa. License question.

I have a Pa. non-resident license. My Pa. friends have a similar license, only it states "resident". However, for an additional $26.00 you could get a PVC license, similar to what Suffolk uses. Has anyone ever requested a PVC license? Would you need to take a road trip to Pa. for the photo? Or, can you simply mail one to Pa. with your application?

Centre County is really the only truely friendly and accessible county for non-resident LTCF's.  I can tell you for sure that Montgomery County WILL NOT issue you a non-resident LTCF and so no plastic from them.  Centre County does not have the ability to manufacture such a license.  What county were you thinking of asking?  Most of the other counties, especially on the east end of the state weed out non residents by requiring a local police check card, I think it is a safe bet that if the einstructions on their website call for one of those, you aren't going to get any help from them.  Post up what county you were considering an I'll let you know if I have had any personal experiance with them.

They don't do it as of the last time I talked to them...maybe we could all pitch in and buy them an ID card machine. ;D

Just a thought: what would offer a recourse to getting/renewing non-res PA if something (like a fture election loss)were to happen in Centre County?
