I am looking to put an optical ( red dot) sight on my Springfield Armory 1911-A1 factory comp pistol Any one have any insights into mount types and or optical sight recomandations?

+1 on the burris the c-more seems to be the most popular though
Just bought a Burris Fastfire II for my ruger markIII. Haven't had a chance to test it out yet, but did my homework and found this to be a good choice.
