Does anyone have one a NJ CL or Permit? I just dowlnloaded the forms, but they ask you to bring them to your local PD where you reside in NJ? Even if you go to the non resident forms they are the same. A little assistance/guidance if you can. thanks

In NJ, even former police officers have hard time getting CCW permits.

Call your local PD and ask them for assistance, they all have a licensing unit. From what I understand, and I may be wrong, but last I heard all forms have to go to West Trenton to the NJSP for approval. I don't think the local departments have the authority to approve them all anymore. Like I said, I may be wrong but NJ is hard to get anything done in. That is just the pistol permit to purchase. I would gather that getting a ccw is going to be very hard in NJ. It is easier in NY than there. Good luck. Just call the local department and if you don't have one you need to contact the NJSP barracks by you. THey can assist. Oh, NJSP for those that don't know is New Jersey State Police.
