So, I will be changing my address soon and am curious if anyone knows about how long it takes for the NICS database to update upon changes to my residence/license. My concern is that I will try to purchase a gun, and there will be a discrepancy between my real-time info and that in their databse; thus, when cross referencing the info on paper with the person on the other end of the phone, they will decline me because the answers don't match.
Are my concerns baseless or will there be a window between the official change of address with the state and that of the federal records?
