new scope advice

So I just ordered a new T/C Venture in .308. After buying the gun, there's not a lot left for optics. I'm looking around  +/- $100. I was looking at the Bushnell trophy xlt. Seems to have mostly decent reviews. Anyone have any experience with it? Have any other suggestions? Have a decent scope for sale for around a $100? ;)

HOW FAR DO YOU INTEND TO SHOOT ----IF UNDER 200 YARDS AND DURING DAYLIGHT MOST ANY QUALITY INEXPENSIVE SCOPE SHOULD DO
Mostly 200yds, but more when I get the chance. I plan on getting a really good quality scope down the road a bit. I'm just looking for a good quality everyday scope. In my price range you can wind up with a decent scope or a real pile of junk.
TRUE BUT AT LEAST WITH THE BUSHNELL IT IS SOME OF THE BETTER GLASS

ALSO LOOK INTO THE NIKONS AND LEOPOLD RIFLEMAN SERIES ----REDFIELD CAME OUT WITH A NEW SCOPE MADE BY LEUPOLD

3X9 OR 12 SHOULD BE THE MAX
I have a primary arms illuminated 1-4 scope. It holds zero very well, the 1x magnification has an illuminated red dot which can be used for quick shooting, and the 4x power you can make good hits out to pretty far.
Wait until Dick's Sporting Goods runs the sale on the Nikon Pro Staff 3-9X40. $100. Wasn't in this weeks flyer, but it has been on sale a number of times this year.

I haven't used one yet, but I've read a ton of user reviews that raved about the Nikon Pro Staff scopes. I'll probably pick one up next sale.

Good to know, I'll keep an eye out
now all i need is a gun to put mine on,LOL
I've had good luck with UTG scopes. They are cheap, hold zero very well, and have good repeatability, meaning 16 clicks will put the bullet four inches away from zero at 100...or as close as I can come with my lousy shooting....
