Nice.

A corpsman who used his body to shield wounded Marines and treat them under enemy fire and despite injuries of his own was presented the nation's third highest military combat award this week.
Petty Officer 1st Class Kevin D. Baskin, a special amphibious reconnaissance corpsman with 3d Marine Special Operations Battalion, was awarded the Silver Star Medal, for heroic actions while deployed to Afghanistan in 2013.

I was told to always take care of the Docs. They're the ones that save our butt!

The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation recognizes Corspmen as " part of us" in that their children are eligible for Marine Corps Foundation Scholarships.
From their webpage "
Particular attention is paid to children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen who were killed or wounded in combat or have demonstrated financial need."
Way to go Navy and Thank you.
