Riders,
Please keep Monday Nov 12[sup]th[/sup] Veterans day, a fitting day to honor a Man that held that day above all others
Available as it looks like that is the day that we will be able to stand in honor of a man that stood for so many others.

Riders,
A Great American has been Lost to us all today. Moe Fletcher, a Gold Star Father and a Sgt in the USA died today of a heart attack while dealing with the affects of Super Storm Sandy.

His Son Josh has asked that we as the PGR and any others that were touched by his father remember and stand for him in the coming days.

As soon as arrangements are set I will make sure we all are informed.

As I do not know the particulars of the family please try to keep your schedules as flexible as you can because from my personal relationship with him, I know that he would be honored to have us stand for him.

His son is in Long Island National Cemetery where we escorted him after his final journey from the sandbox.

May God take you into his safe keeping and may you be with your son for all eternity.

Thank you for the time you give to those who stood for us.

Update; Confirmed Mission: Marlowe "Moe" Fletcher, Sgt USAF and Gold Star Dad as well as activist for the protection and remembrance of all those that have served and especially those that have been lost.

Riders,

The Funeral will be Tuesday and the Wake will be Monday Evening in Hewlett.

Please remember that even though Moe lost his son and was entitled to just try to get on with his life, he was at every KIA Mission and all Active duty Missions that we ever had. He was the Man that would march across the street to get the flag brought down to half mast, no matter what or who said otherwise. He had an undying passion to make sure all our Military whether active or Veterans were given all the respect they had earned.

I know that Gas and weather is an issue etc. but please try to stand for this giant of a man that put the honor of our fallen before everything else in his life.

[sub]I've known Moe (not personally) for about 6 1/2 years. He was almost always (and maybe even always) at the side of a family who lost someone. Moe never hesitated to "take charge" and was ALWAYS ensuring proper military and flag etiquette and if you were not doing something properly he would definitely let you know about it. I have been "dressed down" by Moe on a couple of occassions where I'd have to fall back onto my military life and respectfully respond "yes sergeant!". Moe will be missed.[/sub]
