Police: Man surrenders for firing gun into air in North York

(Northern York County Regional Police)York, PA - A Lancaster man turned himself into police in connection with firing a handgun in the air numerous times in North York on Sunday, according to a news release.
Northern York County Regional Police said that on Wednesday, they obtained an arrest warrant for Andre Isiah Threatt, 22, of 2338 Fruitville Pike.
Today at 12:30 p.m., Threatt turned himself into police, and also handed over a .40 caliber handgun, according to the news release.
As of this afternoon, Threatt was being held at Central Booking, awaiting arraignment on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, causing or risking a catastrophe, and crimes committed with firearms.
The weapon involved, a .40 cal Taurus handgun, is registered to Threatt. At the time of the shooting, Threatt possessed a permit to carry a concealed weapon, according to the news release.
Officer responded on Sunday at 1:21 a.m. to the 1300 block of North Duke Street for a report of shots fired. Witnesses told them they saw a man fire a handgun into the air numerous times.
Officers recovered nine .40 caliber shell casings in the area of North Duke and East 10th Ave.
