I have an old Stevens/Savage 87a that has feed problems. After firing the next shot jams . I can't seem to figure it out and I'm not sure anyone will touch it because of its age. Any suggestions?

The gunsmiths, at Benson's Gun Shop, 53 Middle Country Road (North side), in Coram, phone (631) 736-0065 (about 1 mile East of Route 112) have been doing my smithing, for more than 35 years, with no complaints.
