Laser Boresighter

I just received a new Bushnell Laser boresighter. I plan on sighting in my Savage .308 with a Vortex crossfire scope.
Do anyone else use a laser boresighter to sight it? I looking for opinions, recommendations, and likes and dislikes.
Will I have a hard time in bright light conditions?

Thanks for responding a head of time.

It has arbors for .22-.50cal. and 12 and 20 gauge

Have the same one. Works OK. It will get you close for MF, should get you on big paper at 100 yd. Not incredibly bright, useless outdoors. Battery needs replacement after about a year. Worth the 20something bucks I paid for it.
I have that same POS! Before using it, chuck it in a drill, put the drill on a steady surface, turn on laser and the drill at low speed, and see if the dot moves. Mine looks like it doing a hula dance, useless.
I typically just pull the bolt, put the rifle in a rest, look down the barrel, line up with a red dot target and adjust the scope to the dot.

I am on paper faster than using a bore tool.

Old school is often a good school.

Now with that said, I don't think that bore sighters are made to get you on paper at 100 yards. More like 25 or 50 feet. Baby steps my friend. Get sighted in up close and then work your way out to distance. And constantly check your barrel temperatures. A barrel that's too hot will throw lead everywhere except where you want it to be.
When I bought mine I was told "why don't you shoot dirt" to get yourself on paper.

The laser did not get me on paper any faster than I would have shooting the dirt.
Thanks guy for all the info. I'm going to give it a try. I know Calverton shortest distance is 50 yards. I can,t go to Town of Islip range. It is only open on Saturday and I work.
So when I try it out I give a report.
Thanks to everyone again
