Mike let me shoot his .45 at the LIF get together at the Freeport range...for some reason my car gravitated to South Shore Sportsman the other day, no idea why. Next thing I know, I'm the proud owner of a Kimber SS Custom II TLE/RL II

Handled a Colt, Springfield, S&W, but this one just felt right all around. Wasn't looking for a 1911 with the rail, but the price was right, and I figured, better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

THANKS MIKE!

Oh, and big A-Number 1 shout out to the guys at SS Sportsman, they are awesome, each one of them...

Once you shoot a 1911, if you don't own one already, you're done.

After you own a couple, just shoot your own because when you try somebody else's, you're done.

Also try to avoid gun stores, magazines etc. 1911's are like crack for pistol shooters.

I do love it, and I haven't even shot it yet. Would it be wrong to take a picture for the wallet, between my wedding day and firstborn daughter pics?
