Hotel robber may have accidentally shot himself

Atlanta police say a would-be robber may have accidentally shot and killed himself during a holdup at the Travelodge near the Atlanta airport Sunday afternoon.

Lt. Curtis Davenport said Monday investigators still did not know the name of the robber who was killed. The clerk, whose name was not released, was wounded in the abdomen and remained hospitalized in serious but stable condition on Monday.
