I'm looking to enhance the trigger on my HK45. It has a long pull and reset in SA mode, and I am looking for anyone who has an LEM trigger. Would you recommend it, or are there other options available? From what I can tell, there are few options on the HK triggers, aside from sending to specialist gunsmiths.

I searched the site and didn't see any threads related to this, but apologize if this is a repeat question.

I have the LEM on my Hk P30L.

It basically makes the trigger pull the same every time. The hammer is in a half rooster set so there is a lighter pull as the hammer comes back and then a crisp release. They were going for the striker fired feel in a hammer pistol.

It works well, no issues.

Best upgrade you can do to an HK.
Thanks. Everything I've read has been good, but the vendor suggested that I research to make sure it's what I want since it's not returnable. Does the trigger take time to get used to?

As we both know! I had it done to a USP40 and it made a world of difference in trigger pull etc. Its a learning curve to get used to it but worth every penny. Buy a bunch of ball and head to the range, that will help. You might want to check HKPro.com as there are tons of posts regarding the LEM on alll HK pistols. BTW have HK do it at there Georgia facility. I wouldn't bother with any LGS with this conversion. The LEM is convertible back to DA/SA so don't know what the "vendor" is talking about.

Thanks. The vendor doesn't want me to try to return the parts is all. Any reason why I shouldn't do it myself?

The tools required are somewhat specialized and there are some tricky moves along with small parts involved that may get lost. Also warranty issue as in you void it by doing it yourself. I know a few people who have returned used USPs that they picked up and, after returning to factory for a LEM upgrade, found other easily correctable issues. For my money I'd let the factory armorers/gunsmith do it.
