Are you saying that the 8 year old would be alive if she was packing? Because, otherwise i am not seeing a point.

I think his point was most Liberals don't understand the disconnect between crime caused by criminals and legal gun owners. The first reaction in a Liberal's eye is to take the guns out of the hands of those who follow the laws they create. The issue is these animals that committed this crime don't legally own the firearm they used to commit the crime..thus not being a legal law-abiding firearm owner, the laws created don't apply to them.

No, it's not what I'm saying (but in Chicago it wouldn't be surprising). I am saying that if law abiding citizens owned guns, the clowns on bikes would think twice before doing a "bike by", because they would never know if some pistol packing mama would take them out.

The killers were on bikes, they were probably older kids with no fear of anything. Where I grew up, kids were often used as shooters because they faced easier penalties.

why must there be political labels involved ? i think "gun haters" would be more appropriate ... no ?

I hope the Mayor does his job and puts more police on the street. I could not even imagine what that girls parents are going through.

Terrible tragedy. I don't think more or less gun restrictions would have prevented this. The perpetrators obviously have more serious mental and moral issues that would not be adequately addressed by firearm (or likely any other kind of) legislation.

As to the mayor, I bet he will use this as an opportunity to attack the recent SCOTUS rulings and justify his own anti-gun agenda. One thing for us to bicker - far worse for those elected and sworn to protect the victims to use their needless deaths as ammunition in their own twisted political games - while never addressing the real problems.

No but if the civilized folk were not disarmed, perhaps this sort of thing would be more rare in that neighborhood. 8-year-olds should be able to live in condition white everywhere. Unfortunately, liberal moonbats do not agree.
