Is this life imitating art (or a movie in this case)? How many victims (or their relatives) are cheering this guy? Obviously he broke the law but maybe he could get away with it if he had a list and a fleet of Predator drones.

SEATTLE - A Washington man accused of fatally shooting two convicted sex offenders on the Olympic Peninsula indicated he didn't plan to stop with two, a prosecutor told a judge on Monday.

Patrick Drum, 34, of Sequim, remained jailed without bail after a Clallam County Superior Court hearing.

A signed note Drum left in a rental car said he hated sex offenders and "it had to be done," the county sheriff said Monday.

Drum was arrested Sunday for investigation of two counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary in the weekend deaths of Gary Lee Blanton Jr., 28, and Jerry W. Ray, 56.

The arrested man "had stated his intent not to stop with two victims but to continue as long as he could until he was stopped by law enforcement," County Prosecutor Deb Kelly told Judge George Wood, according to the Peninsula Daily News.

I would never condone vigilante justice, but cant say I have an ounce of sympathy for the dead rapists.

Mr. Drum is a piece of crap, and I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison.
In my opinion, he's no better than the pieces of crap he targeted and killed.

This is the only thing I have heard or read about this, and based on what I see here I am gonna give him a big thumbs up. Sorry to anyone that feels it is wrong, but those people are the lowest scum in the world. I have more pity for a rat given poison or a mosquito that was squashed.

I have mixed feelings on vigilantism, Because this isn't that Bad but GZ/Martin is a whole nother story.

Sex offenders are indeed some of the lowest scum, and I'm not siding with them, but they do have a right to life. If they were guilty, they should be in prison. If they were on parole, then this guy should have left them alone. What if he got someone who looked like one of his intended victims? Then he would have killed a non-sex offender.

What the heck is wrong with some of you guys? These people did their time! So, some other POS should go kill them because they are "sex offenders"? What does that even mean? Do you know what they DID?

One of the guys he killed was 28YO. He was convicted 11 years ago on 3rd degree rape. Do the math- he was 17YO. And he probably had sex with his 16YO or 15YO girlfriend and Daddy found out when she got knocked up and pressed charges. Does that make him deserving of a bullet in the head?

Better come shoot me too, I admit it, I got laid in high school, and I graduated at 17, you do the math. And I really can't believe that out of 3000 people on this forum, I'm the only one and the rest were all wanking to dirty magazines or the JC Penny underwear ads, I know damn well some of the people on here had girlfriends under 18 and had sex with them. I will bet MOST of the people here did. So get off the hypocrisy high horse, and if somebody wants to put a bullet in my head because I'm a "sex offender" better we prepared, I am gonna shoot back.

"Sex offender" could be a serial rapist, or a guy they caught taking a leak on the side of the highway and charged with indecent exposure. or some dude that got drunk and took off his pants on the bus. Or somebody that grabbed somebody's butt at a "Tailhook" convention. If you don't have any idea what they did, stop damning them because of a label.

As much as we sometime want to kill these horrible people, we have a justice system for a reason. As much as we would like to have a duel once in a while, those are illegal as well. Anything else would be an anarchy. The truth is, Mr. Drum has killed 2 people in cold blood.

My ex-bosses 16-year-old son almost got to spend the rest if his life as a registered sex offender because he got drunk at a party and forgot which girl he was making out with. He groped the wrong girl and her parents filed charges. Yeah, he's a dumbass, but that's no reason to screw up his whole life.

Seriously, I am in partial agreement with you. After those people served their time, they were deemed "rehabilitated" by our justice system. Right, or wrong, our justice system is what it is.

And they don't deserve to be re-tried by the citizenry. But, after saying all that, I'm not going to lose any sleep "IF" they were more aggregious offenders. And let's remember, you're assuming it was as simple as consentual sex with an under age girl. It could have been far worse a crime.

By the way, my buddy was a Calvin Klein underwear model in the late 70's/early 80's. You might have pleasured yourself to "his" photos.

@TWebb: If there were "more egregious" crimes, he wasn't CONVICTED of them since it's a Rape 3rd conviction. This is not to say plea deals do not happen, to say otherwise would be foolish. And, for a Rape 3rd, he could have molested a retarded girl or something, which is cetainly a far cry from the RIGHT thing to do, but after being labelled a "sex offender" for life and having the townfolk try to give you the bum's rush like Quasimodo or Frankenstein, and being unemployable, do we realyl have to send these guys back to prison for 15 years because they came within 200 yards of an unmarked daycare facility in a private home or somebody thought they "might reoffend"? Or, in this case, applaud when a druggo ex-con decides to hunt them down like animals and shoot them in the head? Is that really "justice"- in my opinionm anybody who believes that would fit right in in Yemen or Saudi Arabia, but this is the USA. I would hope for better.

The murder victims were convicted sex offenders. They were arrested, processed through our justice system and through lawful process were now out of prison. Although I have little sympathy for the deceased, I don't agree with someone murdering them after due process.
On the other hand, I have not had a family member been raped/sexually assaulted (Thank God).

NY State Penal Law

S 130.25 Rape in the third degree.
A person is guilty of rape in the third degree when:
1. He or she engages in sexual intercourse with another person who is
incapable of consent by reason of some factor other than being less than
seventeen years old;
2. Being twenty-one years old or more, he or she engages in sexual
intercourse with another person less than seventeen years old; or
3. He or she engages in sexual intercourse with another person without
such person`s consent where such lack of consent is by reason of some
factor other than incapacity to consent.

Evidently not....and maybe it was a plea too. This isn't the consensual underage crime. For the record I do not condone the crime committed either.

Washington State law

RCW 9A.44.060
Rape in the third degree.

(1) A person is guilty of rape in the third degree when, under circumstances not constituting rape in the first or second degrees, such person engages in sexual intercourse with another person, not married to the perpetrator:

(a) Where the victim did not consent as defined in RCW 9A.44.010(7), to sexual intercourse with the perpetrator and such lack of consent was clearly expressed by the victim's words or conduct, or

(b) Where there is threat of substantial unlawful harm to property rights of the victim.

(2) Rape in the third degree is a class C felony.
