An 11-year-old Massachusetts girl was hit and dragged by a truck driven by an illegal immigrant, authorities said.

Police say the suspect, 35-year-old Wanderson DaSilva-Neto, struck the sixth-grader as she rode her bike Wednesday as he pulled out of his driveway at his home in Ipswich, MyFoxBoston.com reports.

DaSilva-Neto, who doesn't have a license, is in the country illegally and has an outstanding warrant for his deportation to Brazil, according to the website.

The girl, identified as Kendra Williams, of Ipswich, Mass., was reportedly riding her bike to school at the time of the incident. Her family told MyFoxBoston.com that she suffered a broken nose.

Poor girl.  Anything less that immediate deportation for this guy should be (and is?) a crime.  If his family (if he has one) doesn't like it, let them follow him.  His assets should be seized and awarded to the family as payment for the damages and the father should be given 5 minutes in a windowless room with him before deporting him.
with the way things are going in this country, i dont know wether youre joking or not in the first sentence. thats how bad things are nowadays

Ha, Ha, Ha! Deportation???
I know a guy, an illegal alien and MS-13 gang leader. He stabbed a guy on L.I. and was arrested for it. He served 3 years and was deported back to El Salvador. A few years later, he was arrested BY THE SAME COP for another stabbing about 1/2 mile away from the original one. Even though he admitted to being at scene and the victim knew and named him as one involved, the detectives elected NOT to charge him. The arresting officer was furious and thought, well, at least we have him as a deported felon back in the U.S. When this was brought up, the detectives stated that Immigration would only be interested if he was charged with another crime! The officer thought, "NO FREAKIN' WAY" and called I.C.E. himself. Yep, they'd come out in the morning ONLY if he was arraigned. "WHAT?!?!?" Guess what.....the officers had to drive this deported felon back to his apartment building!

(The Arresting was so pissed he called the DA's office who said, "Go get him, we have more than enough for an arrest." "El Gato" was then re-arrested, charged with felony assault, and for being back in the county. After serving his not-long-enough sentence, he will be deported yet again.)

That was many years ago and I understand that I.C.E. is a bit tougher, but I doubt this illegal will be deported for an accident - or even a leaving the scene of an accident.

The sad thing is you're probably right. Even with an outstanding warrant, he'll probably be left alone.

Meanwhile, if you have a so-called "non-compliant" firearm you're public enemy #1. The world is upside down. They selectively enforce garbage legislation and totally disregard others.
He is lucky

If it was me I would have hooked him up and took him for a drag of his own!!!

Your friend is a great cop for keeping his act together and getting the job done the right way... The detectives who decided not to charge him and the broken system that will see him on the street in a year or two I cannot say are worth a crap, but your friend is a damn good cop.
I'll pass it on, I'm sure he'll appreciate it.
