I don't believe it. Didn't these guys learn their lesson from the lawsuits after Sandy. Can't raise it more than whatever percent in 24 hours. Hoping it isn't legit......sad if it is.
Supply and demand. Unless the government is going to monopolize all the fuel, IMO they shouldn't be telling private company's what to sell their product for.
It is pretty shi&@y to take advantage of these storms though.
It's a joke. They are no longer selling gas. Now it's just a auto shop, not a gas station. There are several stations on either side of it and within a few hundred yards so you'd have plenty of options if it weren't a joke. But it's a joke. And when the buyer has options, it isn't price gouging, it's just bad business.
I'd like to say that price gougers would lose more business in the long run than money gained for jacking prices during a 2 day storm, but I think people have become so lazy that they would just ***** about the gouging but still stop for gas wherever is most convenient.
Was that the Shamrock that's just off rt 110, like halfway to 109 on main?
...They're always one of the lowest, maybe that's the "don't come in we're out of gas" price?
