I live in NYC its seems to be very hard for someone to get finger printed here for the Florida finger print card .

Does anyone know what NYC precinct they will do this with no problems as far as turning me away ? Heard many have been getting the run around while trying to get finger printed in the 5 bourghs .

If its easier for me to get it in Long Island where should i go and would there be any problems as i am from the city ?

And if there is a fee how much ? Thanks for the Help ...

You should be able to get fingerprinted at any Police Precinct. My wife got her prints for an out of state license to practice Psychology at our local precinct in Suffolk. I believe the fee is $10.00 plus tax. Exact change required.

If the fingerprint card doesn't say PISTOL LICENSE on it, don't tell them what it's for. It's simply for an out of state certification.

Similarly:

You can get printed in Nassau. I asked specifically for a FL license and they said no problem. There is a problem though. All the precincts around me stop fingerprinting at 1700, and only operate during the week. Considering some of us work for a living and can't make it there during their operating hours, it makes it very difficult.

Any ideas?

You could always try the State Police. They'll do the fingerprints free of charge. Just call ahead to see what their hours are.

For my FL license, I went to the Fairfax County, VA police for my fingerprints. For my CT license, I went to the Suffolk County, NY 4th Precinct. They did them right away, but you need to bring exact change.

The 112 pct on austin st in Forest Hills does it. You need a money order. Theyre the only one in queens that still do ink cards.

Suffolk County precincts also accept personal checks (takes care of the pesky exact change problem).  They have absolutely no problem with fingerprinting for out of state licenses.  They fingerprint 24/7 but call ahead to make sure they are not too busy (heavy crime day)

Also, if you're in NYC and want to make the trip to White Plains in Westchester, White Plains PD does it.  They charge $25 per card.

Some Nassau pct will only fingerprint for local residents
