Can anyone suggest a user friendly Police Dept in Nassau county that will take my fingerprints in accordance with the Florida CCW requirement. They must be taken by a Police Officer and provide the LEOs badge #, phone #, registry etc. If you had a pleasant experience in doing this, please share.  ;)

Funny you said friendly Police Dept. I can tell you that the Coram dept. where I did mine were NOT friendly when I told the PO behind the desk what it was for. I lost a lot of respect of SCPD after that day.

Thanks for the warning! I wan't to avoid situations like that. I wish someone could suggest a particular PD or LEO that would not treat me in a condescending manner. Any good ones out there?????? I'm renewing my Fla CWP after 5 years and the 1st fingerprints were taken by NYPD. They made me feel like a red headed stepchild and I want to avoid that now ;)

I used the precinct in Woodbury on JEricho Trnpk

They are required by law to fingerprint residents of their district - I have dealt with similiar with my CT prints and straight up said to the women who started getting a little opinionated "mam do your effin job" and things went down hill from there, but moral of the story I have my CT and ot my prints.

dont take the crap some of there non officer pd employees try pulling.

Good question. I just got an application and was wondering the same thing. I was going to call the Nassau 3rd Pct tomorrow. I'll let you know what happens.

honestly almost all leo hate doing fingerprints. They have little if any training doing it and you run the chance the prints are smudged and not usable. I am in the finance business and need to get fingerprinted approx 30 times a year for various state licenses. I use the following company to do my prints. http://www.newyorkfingerprints.com/
It is run by active officers that can sign your cards and they do mobile service to your home place of business etc.. If you plan on doing multiple out of state license (I currently have NY, PA, CT, UT, NH, FL, ME, and waiting on VA) it may pay to store your prints electronically with them. Cost me approx 100 bucks and they came to my office scanned my fingerprints and whenever I need a card filled out I just mail them the cards they print out sign the proper forms and send back to me.
