My Fios Back up battery needs replacing after 3 1/2 years. I look at the Verizon web site and they want $40 for it and then I looked at Amazon and they are half the price.
My question is has anyone bought one that was not from Verizon and if so what has your experience been? I don't want to by one and save 50% only to have to by another one a year later. Is it work the $40 to buy from Verizon?
I'll take the battery out this weekend and check and hit the reset and see what happens. I had it installed March 2011 so it has lasted about 4 1/2 years.
have fios for 8 years and going on my 4th battery. I'm very annoyed that I have to buy this battery, but that's the way it is so I'm told. Radio Shack has them, but very expensive. Online is the way to go. I was told they last 3 years, not so much
I was also going threw them pretty quick,1 a yr. Called fios and they came and changed the box that the battery is in. And now they last at 3 yrs or so.
They also told me to just stop a fios truck and ask them for one. But I have not needed too.
Why do we even need that battery? With cell phones and wireless devices, I barely use my home phone.
