Everyone has a favorite. What is it and why. Mine is 308 Winchester b/c it is so versatile.
30-06. Because it's even more versatile than my .308

Also because I've taken many deer and even a 1200 lb elk with it.
It's never failed me.

However for giraffe I prefer 5.56 in a SAW so i can unload hundreds of rounds in it's face.

.243 . After years of thirty caliber shoulder beatings, this perfect little cartridge with 95-100 grain bullets has been one shot death for deer, yotes and antelope.

You didn't list my favorite the 7mm Rem Mag.
I've taken dozens of giraffes with the round with ranges up to a mile and a half and took two with one shot as two males were doing that head slamming thing. It was a perfectly timed shot if I do say so myself.
Is (was) this them? Those sneaky, long necked SOB's.

These 2 might be a little gay...not that there's anything wrong with that.
