Huge win for NY.
you still have to complete it i did it it wasnt hard at allWhat about the training
I don't see that either way
I don't mean to deflate the importance of this win, but remember this is a temporary restraining order. He has a court date scheduled for later this month for something more permanent. We didn't win the war, just this skirmish.
I agree but we are in much better shap then the people who wrote these laws now that a judge has agreed.I don't mean to deflate the importance of this win, but remember this is a temporary restraining order. Well we do have unrestricted carry now just laws need to be ironed out and they will in due time. id say there is real progress on the 2a front in ny. As for zelden i can absolutely see him winning. But wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't. He has alottttt of jucie behind him un like his sloppy opponentDoes anyone actually believe that New Yorkers will have unrestricted carry acknowledged by lawmakers and judges? This state has IMO been to the left of most others since Hamilton. Cheating is the way and they always will. Oh and that brings me to Zeldin, unless i see he has a 10 point lead across the board i do not think he will be governor. He has my vote but I have only voted for a winning governor once and that was of course Pitaki who I did not like (should not of voted) and would never vote for again.
well said we absolutely have made major head way in 5 month! Much more to comeI understand and feel the anger and frustration others are feeling. What is occurring in NYS is wrong on so many levels. That said I’m still very positive. The gate to full carry that was close for over 100 years had been unlocked and the door cracked open. The powers that be in NYS will try to close that door but the crack is progressively going to increase in size in spite of the hurtles and limitations. While I’m personally waiting for this to go to trial before taking the training (I live in Florida most of the year) every new upgraded license issued is an admission by the powers that be that CCW is here to stay.
just because there was a stay dosnt mean its over at allll the appels court just dosnt want laws going in and out of effect that will cause confusion. They did no rule on anything yetSorry, but I see this as the end. If SCOTUS can simply be ignored with no consequences then the States can ignore or circumvent any court they wish. It doesn't matter what judge gets what case. There will always be a road block to our goal. This can go back to the Supreme Court a half dozen times and we will never get our constitutional right. There will always be an impediment because that's what the powers that be want. This can wind its way through every court but in the end NY will never give up and never allow CC to happen in a meaningful way. Civil rights and laws are only meant for some. This bullshit about "no one is above the law" is a joke. It's obvious to me that Hochul is above the law. She's above the highest court in the land.
i mean i have my carry ive been very happy with wear i can bring it but NH is beautiful love riding up thereI’m hoping all this shit is ironed out before my next renewal (Sep 2024), or I have already started to buy a place in NH. Fuck this place, I figured a Zeldin win would bring some of my confidence back, but no, all plans OFF to buy a 2nd home upstate, NEVER, let it go to shit.
na man were doing alot in the past 5 months i never thought i would have a full carry i got it in 2 months with no hassle this is big all this shit will get ironed out. The law is on our side for onceIt just seems 100 negative laws get pushed in a day, and then decades to fight each one individally.
yah hole other ball game down there but im in suffolk shit wasint hard at all and eveyone knows the sensitive areas are already struck down and will continue to beYeah, my bro just moved to TN, new Sig and CCW in 15 mins.
i dont think there gonna get this onePrivate property as of now has an injunction statewide. The state has appealed to the Second Circuit. I am sure we will hear the news soon.
sweeet man enjoy it be safe dont over think it just carry were u need to you will be fineGot my full “carry” today. SCPD PLB is pushing faulty info. They handed me a paper, which lists the sensitive areas and such.
Church was still on the list, and so was private properties without consent, and they went out of their way to actually say to me that Suddaby’s injunctions had been stayed, so original CCIA is in full effect.
Before my common sense kicked in, I blurted out ‘ what about Sinatra’s ruling?’ That hit a nerve, and I clammed up. She then glossed over it, and she said do your best to keep with current info.
They did seem to throw some advice, as things change rapidly… if in ANY doubt, revert to the Sportsmen’s rules, and remove oneself from the questionable situation.
Any interaction that goes that way, and back to PLB, is going to be viewed as “good faith”.
For what THATS worth, lol.
dont need it anymore thoAvailable at Lowes… View attachment 141509
ill bet not 1 person gets arrested for this there the ones not following the law.I was at a SAFE meeting last night where the head of the Suffolk County PD pistol License spoke. They are still enforcing the private property ban, eventhough they have been enjoined by the court(Judge Sinatra) not to enforce that section of the law. As everyone knows the law is in a state of flux and it seems that Suffolk County will not heed any chamges until the dust settles. You may be right about the current status of the law if you get stopped on private property, but you might get arrested anyway and have to sue for false arrest.
dont mean to but in but no this has nothing to do with those cases they are separateSoooooo….. in plain , ordinary English….. does this affect the current, stay? , from Sinatra? , on private property, and the houses of worship?
Or is it my turn, to have been completely confused, and overwhelmed, from the multi-prong attacks?
first off that call would never come in if it dose and your on private property regardless theres an injunction and its legal. Second its concealed carry! not open carry no one should know its on u dont be printing get a gun that fits right and a holster that is good.A sector car officer responding to a 911 call regarding a complaint of a person in a private business with a firearm is not canning the call that easily. It would be the DA dropping the charge. Restricted and Sensitive are Felonies under the law. With body cameras, a cop doesn’t have discretion if the guy is caught with a firearm under the CCIA.
