Not scientific but you can make them reqret asking questions you know they don't want the answer to. When you get there, scroll towards the bottom -

Do you feel Florida's 'stand your ground' law is helpful or harmful?

I don't know specifically what the Florida law says but if you don't want to stand you're ground, there's no law that says you have to.

...

Came across the text of the law:
"A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in any other place where he or she has a right to be has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force, including deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony."

Voted.
Voted.
The law will stand. It wasn't investagated enough originally. You can't start a fight or be the initial aggressor and claim self defense via stand your ground law. Your only standing your ground when your out right attacked and defending yourself or your family... 3rd party included.
Zimmerman was wrong in going after the kid, he wasn't in Physical danger till he put himself there.
Two lives ruined by his stupid actions.

I agree this is not a stand your ground issue. Don't know if Zimmerman's lawyer is going to use it as a defense,
but it looks like the lefty media is all over this.

Bloomberg has appointed his head of gun violence expert to look into the FLoriday law and what happened. So we all know how he will try to use it against the licensee.
There is misuse of anything anywhere at anytime by anybody.
People drink, people drive, people get killed, do they cry to ban cars?
Cops misuse firearms occassionally, do they cry to disarm cops?
People get stabbed, do they cry to outlaw knives?
People jump off bridges to committ suicide, do they want to outlaw bridges?
Just so easy to blame the one or two bad apples and lump us all together.
Did this kid deserve to die? Did he even do anything? No one except the two people that were involved know for sure. IF the shooter was wrong and is trying to hide behind the law, then hang him as the law does not apply but damn, let this be investigated thouroughly if it was a racist motive then prosecute as a racial crime also, but until we know for sure what happened no one shuld be making statements ESPECIALLY the White House. I'm not defending Zimmerman in any shape manner or form, because based on the newspaper accounts he was dead swrong being told to stand down but the authorities are invesitgating to the point the Chief of Poice temporarily stepped down so as to allow a fair and impartial investigation. Let the investigation go forward, but the Black Panthers putting a $25000 price on this guys head isn;t racist and inciting this guys killing?
