Hey guys, I need to sight in my rifle scopes that I have on my two 22s and my ar15, the bullets are not even ending up close, so I need to see whats going on. Can anyone recommend a bore sight, or will any bore sight do?

Thanks!

I have this:

and this:

They both work to a point. Not 100% spot on, but always on paper at 100 yds. The BSA "optical"(?) type is not good for anything with a high front sight, such as an AR, AK, or SKS, that's where the laser comes in.

Between these two, they would probably give you the most coverage, bore size wise, and once you know how far off they are in what direction, you can compensate and get fairly close. I'm pretty happy with them for the price. Never used a pricey one, so I don't know how much better they would be. More than one shop I've seen uses cheap ones, no better than these.
I have a bore sighter if you want to bring them over I can help you with this
Thanks PapaBear, if I cannot get this done myself, then I will DEFINITELY take you up on that offer.

This is the same one, right?

People aren't too fond of it, haha.

That is the same one. Like I said, it is not 100%, but for less than 50% the price of this one:

that I have borrowed, it does the job no better, no worse. Do I expect it to be one-shot on zero? No. I'm not sure any boresighter will. But both have repeatedly got me on paper at 100yds. YMMV.

Dick's SG in Rosevelt Field uses a Chinese made Barska optical type that didn't do any better or worse than my BSA.

The last rifle I bought, from a local shop, came boresighted. I told them I was going to do it myself, but they beat me to it. When I said: "yours is probably better than mine, anyway", the response was: "I doubt it". That one was less than 2" off at 100yds, first shot.

The decision is yours. Just relaying my experience. I recommend these two because of the wide coverage. .17 to 12g. I'm perfectly satisfied with the inexpensive ones I have.

Ok, I just ordered that Bushnell one, thanks for the info guys!
Anytime Lou. I may go to Mitchell Field Monday afternoon or evening. Let me know if that works for you, and I will toss it in my range bag.
