I think there will be 4th Amendment issues with using this device. You are basically doing a search without using your hands. On the flip side if an officer sees a bulge in the shape of a weapon does that give them reasonable suspicion to do a pat down search? This device is enhancing the officer's ability to "see".

In a jurisdiction where prosecutors and licensing authorities refuse to use common sense/prosecutorial discretion no distinction will be made between the criminal and the law abiding citizen who finds himself a victim of the CCIA.
