I've shot a Barnett which was very accurate and lightweight. Forget the model though. Pse is just wicked expensive for a crossbow. The Barnett was under $300 which was reasonable.

just a reminder when hunting with a cross bow it is in gun season only you can not hunt with a cross bow during the bow season if your going to hunt long island you can only use the cross bow in January during the shot gun muzzle loader season

I have a Horton Tacoma. inexpensive compound crossbow and easy to assemble and sight in. It's very accurate too. Why spend about a 1000 when you could get the same results for around 200.  Besides, if you're new to the crossbow you may not like it. better to spend 200 and not like it than 1000. I prefer my regular compound bow

I dunno - you have to have an AR15 to use this, which means that *technically* you are carrying a rifle afield in crossbow season - Yes, it would be completely ridiculous for any officer to make an issue of that, the potential is there. (Good thing there's no hunting in NYC!)

I also wonder about having to release the hammer to strike the arrow release affecting accuracy. There must be a huge amount of lock time in this system.

OK, the complete model makes more sense. but "tactical"???? :whatever
