Headed to western NY and arrowed the buck at 35 yds and Doe at 15yds.

The buck had a busted rack due to his battles so far this year. Should have been a 6 or greater.

Each bow hunter has their own idea of what they want to accomplish during a hunt. Myself, I had three days to archery hunt this season. First two days were cold, rainy and very windy. Nothing moving. Third day was much nicer and the deer were moving. The buck showed itself five times but never within range. Then when he approached another time the doe stepped in the way at 15 yards between me and the buck. I took the shot at the doe. Then the buck showed up once again within 30 minutes and I was able to take the shot.
I am not as fortunate as many of you out there who have the time and access to hunt every week. I get a few days during archery and a few days (sometimes) during gun. So based on this I was not going to let my hunt pass me by.

I hit a 6 pointer in the catskills. Looked like a bad shot. May have hit the shoulder blade. He was 20 feet from me. We lost the blood trail after about 500 yards. From the blood, it seemed to run in a sort of a zig zag pattern even jumping over fallen trees.
