Anybody interested in Rhode Island license?

I'm interested in knowing if anybody else is interested in getting a Rhode Island license. IIRC cost is $40 /4yrs, slight catch in that you have to drive up there to pick it up in person. It also requires live-fire qualification on an Army L target , 25yds, 30 consecutive rounds 195min score. That's roughly 13-14" ring on average at 25yds, pretty easy.

I can help with the qualification requirements if anybody is interested in a meetup, I'd like to get one other instructor so I can qualify myself. I would also be willing to order some L targets to be divided amongst the group at cost. Since it has to be 25yds and indoors is easier to schedule, I'm thinking Mitchell/Nassau County Range.

Anybody else? (particularly fellow instr's?)
If it's just a few of us I'd be willing to hang around for a little while if anybody had some CMP stuff to get out of the way too and witness for them. Thoughts?

Only the really Pro 2A states- the issue is that Rhode Island does NOT recognize NY, CT, Maine, PA, FL, UT or any of your other ones. I't also how a lot of us get to MA. The cost of MA is prohibitive at $100/yr NR though.  With Newport, Block Island, etc. being popular summer destinations, I figure now is a good time to do it.

Is RI a shall issue state for CCW???
I was wondering this myself. USAcarry.com has a map that shows RI as shall issue, but everywhere else I look I see that it is may issue.

Oh, what the hell. For $40, why not? What other paperwork does one need? Is it Pennsylvania easy, or are there fingerprint cards and such?

oops...OK. Didn't realize this was an old thread. I'm still interested, unless of course it's happened already.

I did research a long time ago for the RI license and find that it might be a hassle like the MA license. You need to show up for an interview for the permit, and the permit may only just be good for one year. I honestly dont think its worth spending the money...
