Like the story says. "The gun just went off".
Of course - it had nothing to do with the idiots passing it around. Blame the gun

BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- While Broomfield Police investigate the shooting death of a 21-year-old man, witnesses said the man and his friends were passing the gun around during a Fourth of July block party before it fired.

The Adams County Coroner's Office confirmed Anthony Varra, 21, died from a single gunshot to the head. The coroner ruled the death a homicide.

Broomfield police found Varra on a sidewalk in the 3000 block of W. 134th Avenue Sunday. They originally reported the shooting as a possible suicide.

Police changed that Wednesday after determining other people were present at the time of the shooting.

Witnesses and friends told 7NEWS and the Boulder Daily Camera Varra and a friend were passing a gun around.

One friend told 7NEWS Varra had removed the clip, but a bullet remained and Varra was shot accidentally.

"This was a pure accident. It was foolish kids handing a gun around, and it just went off," neighbor Marjorie Lona told the newspaper.

Police are investigating who fired the shot and under what circumstances.

No one has been arrested.

That's not an accident that is negligence and hopefuly only by the party that has departed this earth. someone else in another thread said "Darwin will be busy on the fourth". This is a prime example.

+ 1 ... Jefe, also notice how they intentionally left out that this is most likely was an illegal gun. I can only assume that the intent is so that every law abiding gun owner who handles his firearm responsibly can be smeared by the actions of these pendejos.

Opprobrious
