I have a rem 700 and I wanted that stock very badly. Ive heard great things about it and I love the detachable mag on it. The XLR is a great chassis... id take that over an AICS any day.
My first attempt at a chassis I tried mimic the looks of the XLR for my receiver section.

A friend had AICS stock for his Rem.40X  in 308, it is an excellent stock! I tried and it took some getting used to but after a few rounds I found it comfortable.It really does what its designed to do, let the shooter and rifled action operate in an enviroment in which the stock has little or no effect on accuracy. In fact , crazy as it sounds, my buddy shot better and better with it over time. While the price is not for the faint of heart, if long range shooting is your thing or profession, this is the way to go short of a complete AI rifle.

Great stock you will like it. Just make sure you torque down the front and rear screw to the same in-lbs. Ends up pretty heavy, so a front bipod is nice.
