Are you saying that Optics Planet is giving LIF members a 10% discount?

No... Having nothing to do with it. I emailed the sales dept asking about a discount and they gave it... All I'm saying is, email them prior to just ordering something on the Internet.

If you write reviews for the stuff you buy they send you 10% off codes as well. Saves a bundle.

I've dealt with optics planet many times and have always had good dealings with them. There's another reason to call in your order though, they don't list their inventory on the website so you can order something to find out they don't have it in stock a few days later. It doesn't happen often but it can happen and it frustrates many people. They will let you know by email if it does though and even give you options for alternatives or of course you can wait till they get your item back in stock.

I just bought a telescope and some accessories from them. It was quite a good deal, although they'd only give me 5% rather than 10%.

However, a good deal is still a good deal.

I have purchased some stuff from them also but was able to find a cupon code online. Great prices decent shipping time. Happy with them.

Another +1 for Optics Planet...prices were decent, selection was good and service was very good.

I almost deal with them exclusively now for all my optics and parts.

That said, always call ahead of placing your order with the item # of the item you're looking to buy. Check with someone in sales to make sure your item is in stock prior to making an internet order. They don't have active inventory search software on their site, so you can order something that is out of stock. You won't be notified and could lose a few days before figuring it out.

Check ahead and make sure. 90% of the time they will have what you're looking for and I highly recommend buying with them. Great prices and fast (usually free) shipping too.
