To add a pistol to my license in Suffolk, I need to undergo the "Yaphank Shuffle". For the uninitiated, here's the Yaphank shuffle in all it's asinine glory:
1. Purchase a pistol from a dealer.
2. Take the purchase receipt to the Pistol Licensing division in Yaphank along with a $5 money order...
After hearing all the hype about the Walther PPQ M2 with the 5 inch barrel I had to go check it out. I went to DSI and checked it along with the H&K VP9. It was a close contest but I chose the Walther. It has a great trigger which I can't wait to try at the range this week and a really cool...
Just posted on Facebook that they just got .22LR ammo in today. Didn't post a price or brand, just that they got it in.

Hey guys, I'm new here. I should be getting my license any day now, and I'm looking to pick something up when it comes. Im sure it's been discussed before so forgive me in advance, but I'm looking for the closest decent gun shop to Yaphank. I wanna take care of it in a day, and it would be nice...

My wife picked up a Savage 555 20ga O/U and I "borrowed" it this morning.
I was really impressed with the fit and finish of this entry-level o/u.
The gun felt solid and the trigger is really nice.
Anyone know what happened at the Yaphank deli this morning?
Drove past a few minutes ago, Corner of Main St. and Yaphank Ave, next to the post office. Suffolk PD, cruiser and crime scene van. They were in the parking lot, looked like collecting something and taking pictures.
My license is no longer empty. Brought home a brand spanking new Glock 19. Now I have to fit in some range time.
Even though we all know what it looks like, I'll put up some pictures later. Who gets tired of looking at guns anyway?
Has anyone recently been shooting skeet and trap or done any other shooting behind the Yaphank correctional facility? A friend of mine said he has gone there a number of times to shoot skeet about a year ago and mentioned he has seen numerous people back there hunting as well and no one has ever...
