Made up 25 test loads following data from Hodgdon web site and  my book "Modern Reloading" by Richard Lee. 95 grain FMJ with Titegroup, pistol powder. Both sources call for a OAL of .970. However this seems too long. They won't fit into the magazines lower than the top position. I...

I am getting ready to start reloading for the first time with a Lee Classic Turret press so please excuse a possibly dumb question. I used a Lee depriming/decapping die to deprime the 5.56 brass prior to tumbling. From what I understand, after resizing the brass, you are supposed to measure...

Is there a way to calculate pressure from velocity? I know the manuals give pressure for a set load but I am curious to see if there's a formula to calculate for in-between loads since the manuals give min and max. I'm really just curious. I assume that if velocity isn't much much higher than...

  11. Reloading
So I just finished testing 5 different 38 special reloads that I loaded up. When I finished I noticed that the brass was dirtier then factory ammo that I shot. Not a big deal but I am assuming it is because of the powder I am using (unique). But I also noticed that there was a good bit of powder...

I have been reloading for a year or two now, and would like to think I am a smarter then average person, well maybe not. Today at Brookhaven I had my Glock 41 blow up in my hand while shooting, trust me its not so fun. I know I have heard Glock have a unsupported chamber, but I never really...

When using a case gauge some, of my brass does not fit the gauge at the rim (0.480 dimension). Seems like burrs are occurring. A small percentage require filing for the brass to fully seat in the gauge. Does this need to be filed prior to use and will this cause a malfunction in a semi-auto?

I don't reload. I don't have room for a press that mounts permanently. I would like to assemble 12 gauge reduced recoil buckshot and slug loads. What are my options? Cost and space are high priorities.

So I am interested in starting to reload match grade 223. Any tips you guys have that would help? What are your favorite bullets. I'll be shooting it out of a Remington 700 ADL Varmint with a Boyd's thumbhole stock and a Nikon P-223 4-12x40. The twist rate is 1 in 12. I plan on shooting it out...

Reloading .22 Long Rifle-a new option for competitors by Art Merrill - Tuesday, August 18, 2015 Common knowledge has it that reloading .22 Long Rifle cartridges isn't possible, or at least isn't practical. But necessity being the mother of invention-in this case necessity being the present...
