So I'm 46yo with progressive no-line lenses. Today my first time out with my first rifle (ruger 10/22) and I realized I cant aim and focus at all with my glasses, kept going high with the stock sights. Put on a cheapo red-dot...
  2. Reloading
I am still a ways away, but I am looking into the process and equipment. I currently intend to reload only rifle cartridges of .223, 308, and 30-06. In the future if I pick up a Rossi in .357 this may change. I am not looking to churn out 1000 rounds a piece in a single Sunday. However, I also...

No, I don't have my tin hat on today. So, last night I'm watching a rerun of NCIS, one of my favorite shows. Yes, they do promote liberal progressive ideas, but they are usual right in your face. Last night the episode was about these Marines who were taking firearms that were meant for...

I've made the jump from reading glasses to needing a bit more. Picked up a new pair of "progressive lenses" glasses. I had assumed they would be more like a bi-focal lens but without the line. Well I was wrong, way wrong. They seem to have a rather distinct column of focus. I thought they would...

So after I had a squib (http://www.longislan...-pay-attention/), I decided to come up with some better lighting for my press so I could easily see into the case instead of just relying on the lockout die. Originally I was just going to find a discrete high output LED and come up with some sort...

  11. Reloading
Looking to start reloading, picked up the ABC's of reloading and now need to get a press. Right now I'm shooting 9mm, 38 special, 223/556, 30-06, 7.62x54r and hoping to add a 308 to that soon as well. I was thinking of either the redding turret press or either the hornady lock n load or a...
