I was just informed that speeding tickets have to be reported to the SCPD PLB within 10 days. Failure to do so one will risk a suspension at the time of renewal and may cause a hearing. Is this true?

I guess what am asking is it worth all the hassle to get your pistol lic in Nassau county nowadays. do they actually inspect where your firearms are kept? do you get harassed bc one has a pistol license? is it bad to have a pistol permit before going into law enforcement based careers ?

Sat thru the 8hr class at Smith point archery and got my bowhunting license. Very similar to the rifle hunting safety class. One take away from the class, you can take as many anter-less deer as you want on LI when bow hunting.

question for those who got their nassau county handgun license last month (October), when did you have your fingerprints taken? I'm trying to see if the wait (fingerprint to license) is truly 6mths.

Does the administrative restriction of only carry to the range follow you across the state? My brother & sister-in-law in Orange county both got full carry permits without any issues. Do upstate counties enforce the to range restriction on Nassau/Suffolk residents?

I believe we, as pistol permit holders, started having to do nics checks when many upstate counties would not agree to issue renewable pistol licenses....They issued lifetime licenses and therefore the state said, okay, but now you'll have to do a nics when doing a transfer....I'm hopeing that...
