KelTec is smoking something funny - or awesome. Bull-pup semi auto... no pistol grip. http://www.thefirear...kel-tecs-rdb-c/
  4. Semi-Auto [Handguns]
The members on this forum have helped me resolve a couple of firearms issues already, so I thought I would contribute with some "how to" advice. I recently purchased a 1974 Colt 1911 that had been a safe queen for over a decade. The gun is in excellent shape and functions well, but when I tried...
  5. AR - [Rifles]
If one was to build an AR Rifle (not a Pistol) with the Phase 5 Hex-2-C Pistol Buffer Tube Assembly, Spur Grip, Henry Trigger Guard, 16" non-threaded Barrel (end is just blank, no suppressor or anything attached), and the OAL of the Rifle is 30.5"....would is still fall in the NY Compliant...
  6. AR - [Rifles]
I used my first built by me AR the other day. I was actually pretty happy with the feel of a the Thordsen (compared to nothing) but I am looking for a way to put on a rubber grip on the grip portion that would give the same benefits of a houge pistol grip over a regular plastic grip. I emailed...

New P238, P938 Grip Colors from Hogue For 2016, Hogue announced an expansion of the grip color options that it offers for the SIG SAUER P238 and P938 handguns. The additional color choices are available in its G10 line of grip panels for these two pistols. For the P238, the new color options...
  8. NYS and NYC Discussions (licensing/laws)
So Penal Law section 265.00(22) says "a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon". What is the action of the weapon? The trigger? I realize conspicuously is debatable. My question is: has anyone cut down a pistol grip instead of using a spur? Doing so might be...

What a great idea this is. It comes in a spiked version and smooth version. http://survivalgrips.com/shop/page/2/

"I recently received an unsolicited product for review, the America Grip Tool Grip AR rail cover. The owner of the company and I were discussing products over lunch and he described his invention, a rail cover with built-in tools. I don't use rail covers and the only tools I use often with my...

Is a pistol grip legal in NY? What about a forward grip? No detachable magazine, no bayonet lug, flash hider. Under 10 in the tube. No adjustable stock. Legal? Thanks.

Had to post a picture of my 3 inch GP 100 sporting new Sack Peterson Elk Stag inserts. Love the look and feel of them.
  13. Pump [Shotguns]
Has anyone here used grip tape a wood-stocked gun? Does it work well, adhere well? I'm wondering about trying it on the forend of my 870. If you look at skateboard companies, there are a ton of color options so I could get something that doesn't stand out much. I'd trim it so I have it just...

So my first time out with my P239 I used a bit of rubber grip tape cut to fit but I didn't care for the look. So I got myself a set of Houge Grips. Big improvement! Didn't know if I'd like the finger notches but turns out they fit perfect in my hand. So here is a before and after shot.

So besides 1911's, I've also been looking at the Polish Radom VIS P-35(my Mother Land). Some nice examples have the grip frame slotted for a shoulder stock. The guns do NOT come with the stock...just the slot. After checking with the NYS SAFE Act web site, it doesn't say anything about a slotted...

"I've seen some pretty messed up grips in my day. From movie stars to bone heads, to good people who are just naïve or inexperienced, I feel like when it comes to gripping a handgun, I've also become a reluctant expert in what not to do. There are many effective pistol grip styles, however...

I have a fixed blade in a kydex sheath I carry in the field. The sheath seems to have lost its grip on the knife. Whats the best way to tighten it up? Can I heat the sheath and reform the gripping portion?
  19. Semi-Auto [Handguns]
After shooting my Beretta PX4 in .40, I am finding the hard plastic grip (although checkered) a bit slippery. I find myself having to reposition my hands from time to time between shots. Just wondering if anyone has tried these Hogue grip sleeves? Do they stay put? Any interferences with the...
